bitecars What Drives This Power Model?  The V12 being the pinnacle of today’s Lamborghini engines, has developed a new super sports car powertrain through a unique new hybrid system that focuses on providing the highest power possible via the lightest solution. To comple- ment this, a 48-volt e-motor delivering 34 hp has been in- corporated into the gearbox to provide immediate response and improved performance: the first time in any low-voltage hybrid that a direct connection has been made between elec- tric motor and wheels.   Instead of a lithium-ion battery, the Sián has a super-capaci- tor application located in the bulkhead between the cockpit and engine that was initially pioneered in the Lamborghini Aventador, but stores ten times the power. It is also three times more potent than a battery of the same weight and three times lighter than a battery producing the same power. Weighing only 34 kg, the electric system with the super-ca- pacitor and e-motor delivers a remarkable weight-to-power ratio of 1.0 kg/hp.  This advanced technology works perfectly with the V12 en- gine which incorporates titanium intake valves and is up- rated to 785 hp (577 kW) at 8,500 rpm, the highest output ever from a Lamborghini power plant. Together with the additional 34 hp from the hybrid system, the latest model delivers a total of 819 hp (602 kW) and still produces the distinctly emotive resonance that is demanded from a Lam- borghini engine.  With a top speed of 217 mph, the Lamborghini Sián accel- erates from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2.8 seconds while the roadster is less than 2.9. Both models have a highly advanced regenerative braking system, and thanks to the super-capac- itor being charged and discharged with the same power, the Sián’s energy storage system is fully set every time the vehi- cle brakes. This instantly available power boost allows the driver to draw immediately on the increased torque when accelerating away.   Inside The Cabin  Not much is said about the dynamics of the interior apart from Lamborghini describing the Sián as “luxurious Italian craftsmanship meets state-of-the-art technology with a cab- in designed to provide a driving experience that combines adrenaline-charged acceleration with utmost comfort.” The passenger compartment features recurring design elements that reflect the classic Lamborghini style such as Y-shaped features and hexagonal shapes, rendered to perfection, and with attention to detail.  These particular models are executed in Terra di Sant’Agata Bolognese, northern Italy with leather from Poltrona Frau implementing amazing 3D printed parts for the first time in production. As Mitja Borkert, Head of Design at Automobile Lamborghini said, “The fastest Lamborghini must be a visual and symphonic feast, as remarkable to those who see it pass by as those privileged to drive it.“ Although it takes inspira- tion from the classic Lamborghini Countach, the  Sián is a futuristic icon, not retrospective.   Just like its super sports car counterpart, the interior of the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is equipped with a high-tech design, iconic clean lines, hexagon shapes, Y-motif, and su- per-performing materials for weight and function.
