FOR LAMBORGHINI 63 bitecars I t was at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show that Au- tomobili Lamborghini unveiled the Sián FKP 37, a super sports car that delivers new technologies and unsurpassed performance in the hybrid sphere. Thanks to its new futuristic design which draws on the brand’s style DNA, the Sián is deemed the fastest Lamborghini of all time. Engineered around unique hy- brid technologies, it delivers the extraordinary emotion and exceptional dynamic performance of a naturally as- pirated Lamborghini super sports car. Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Execu- tive Officer Stefano Domenicali described the Sián as a “masterpiece in possibilities.” He added, “Not only does the Sián deliver a formidable hypercar design and engi- neering tour de force today, [but it also] augments the potential for Lamborghini as a super sports car brand for tomorrow and for decades to come, even as hybridisa- tion becomes more desirable and inevitably essential.” Taking their design DNA a step further in a slightly differ- ent direction, the Italian marque collaborated with The Italian Sea Group to present Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, a new limited-edition motor yacht which referenc- es Lamborghini’s 1963 foundation, in June. The 63 feet length model made from carbon fibre material and based on the Sián is a representation of a Lamborghini luxu- ry supercar on the water. It is equipped with two MAN V12-200 hp engines which allows it to reach 60 knots and weighs just 24 tons. To complete the set, Lamborghini then presented the limited-edition, open-top hybrid super sports Lamborgh- ini Sián Roadster in July. It is said the roofless design of this model puts an exclusive group of drivers in one of the most spectacular cockpits ever, always open to the sky; and resonates with the inimitable V12 sound from the marque’s most powerful engines, and extraordinary performance while reeling in the Sián Roadster’s role in Lamborghini’s route to future hybridisation. The name ‘Sián’ is derived from the Bolognese word meaning ‘flash’ or ‘lightning’ that is said to capture the coupé’s true character and speed. Images courtesy of Lamborghini
