The Bite Magazine - Autmn/Winter 2020 - Issue 28

bitecatwalk T his collection from Rocky Star symbolises retreating to the inception, focusing and de-saturating the mind. Vintage echoed through the collection in elements borrowed from gothic creations embodied in the current day, relevant and high-fashion silhouettes. A resurgence of scattered sequins, delicate lace detailing, and feather goodness were precise and polished. The collection evolved volumi- nous sleeves, Victorian ruffles, gathered hemlines and refined pleats, featured in blended and textured fabrics. It was further accentuated with bold yet intricate metallic threads and accents. The collection amalgamated sophistication and minimalism with renewed edge and appeal. Structured and free-flowing silhouettes were paired together and brushed with signature cuts and sew techniques, surface texturing and appliqué work, redefining winter dressing. We took a walk down memory lane with Rocky Star revisiting the archives and reinventing designs that created a timeless fashion: one thread, one stitch and a whole lot of emotions. Reminiscing the fash- ion journey he was going to take us on, and resurrecting signature aes- thetics, the collection saw sequinned bombers, faux leather trenches and tailored jackets in black and white incorporated with large skirts and flared trousers. www.rockystarworld.com FASHION WEEK LONDON Autumn/Winter 2020
