bitemusic could make any changes, I would change it back to how it was back in the days. [Make it] a little less materialistic and all about the sound.” According to Sainte, successful artists have made it to where they are at due to being and remaining original, as well as being organic. He says that it is better to stand out from the crowd rather than to blend in with every- one else. The young artist gets his inspiration from various artists and individuals such as Pharrell Williams, Larry June, Octavian, and Drake. He believes these artists have managed not only to find their sounds and styles but use them to impact the music scene and sound in many different ways. In particular, there are a few pieces that have inspired and motivated him to chase after his goals. Octavian is one of his top favourite UK artists, and his whole ‘SPACEMAN’ project inspired the musician majorly. He also looks up to A$AP Rocky and his crew, Odunsi (The Engine) as he admires their creativity and style. In the opinion of Sainte, they are not afraid to think outside the box, and that’s what makes them different. The musician also draws inspira- tion and influence from fashion, cars, and designers, “I love clothes and cars! If you listen to my music, you tend to catch many sly references to some of my favourite clothing and car makes.” When it comes to his music, he revealed, “I love touching base on things that I love and enjoy.” ‘Champagne Shots’ is his favourite tune because it represents his personality. When Sainte performed his track in the studio for the first time, it felt like he was where he was supposed to be, very natural. ‘Envy Me’ is his second favourite track in terms of visuals. “The whole process that went into creating that video was just amazing,” he said. “Seeing all my people come togeth- er, from all types of backgrounds and personalities unite to- gether and just vibe. It was all organic, and that’s how I love everything, organic and real.” Sainte’s mission is to spread nothing but positivity, and he be- lieves that by making music, he can motivate others around him and hopes that his music brings people together. He is a firm believer that “life is what you make it.” He encourages aspiring artists, designers, creatives to chase their dreams and make the impossible possible. “It’s all on you and how bad you want it. It might take time, so you have to be patient but trust the process and stay consistent.” One thing for sure is that the future has got a lot of pros- pects for a young artist like Sainte, who is in for the long run. The musician confesses that the love and reception he has received from many people, both locally and globally, has fuelled his drive to make more music, and that is his big ambition. He currently has collaborations with people in Los Angeles which he cannot disclose as yet, and with two EPs sitting in the vault. The first one is on its way very soon, planned to be released at the end of 2020. He promised to bring more music, more videos and projects; so keep your eyes peeled. https://www.ysmproject.com
