bitemusic range of audiences. However, Sainte is not only working on managing his music career, but he is also studying at univer- sity. It seems to be working pretty well as the hard-working, young artist clearly knows his priorities and is heading straight to the top with no hesitation. In his own words, “I have zero limits for myself and my potential.” Sainte has always been surrounded by music as his dad used to be in music production back in the noughties, while his broth- er and his schoolmates used to love freestyling over old school G-Unit instrumentals in the house. The artist confessed he was more interested in football and basketball at that time. However, it seems that family influences have left a strong mark on his mind. Halfway through secondary school, he developed a profound love and passion for music. “I found myself rapping along with some of my favourite artists effortlessly,” says Sainte, “and, with my taste in music being all over the place, dipping into many different genres and styles, I decided to study GCSE music.” Not long into studying the subject, after composing a few of his tracks in class, his teacher stopped him after a lesson and encouraged him to take music seriously, believing that he had a gift. The teacher also took the time out to teach him more about music, to the surprise of the young student, out of les- son time. Sainte revealed, “This gave me the drive to do better, knowing that someone believed in me.” In his blooming career, Sainte is a fresh fish in a tank full of sharks and has been making music for over a year. Earlier this year, after releasing his single ‘Champagne Shots’, he per- formed live at LC.MOV which is an underground trap event. Sainte did not hide the excitement and appreciation for his fans as they already knew the words to his music. “I felt the love and energy and can’t wait to do it all over again and again with the people again soon after lockdown,” he said. Sainte cannot differentiate what the most enjoyable and re- warding moment in making a new piece of music is as he en- joys the whole process itself! From hearing the beat, writing the lyrics, recording in the studio to releasing the track live on streaming platforms, he finds the entire process exciting. The artist vows that the thought that started as just an idea in his head is about to be a finished product available for anyone, anywhere on the planet to enjoy, motivates and thrills him. However, like most artists, he sometimes encounters writer’s block! “That alone is probably one of the worst feelings some- one can ever experience,” says Sainte. His biggest fear is the inability to find the right words to express himself and people not liking his music. He then added, “Not everyone is going to like my music, and it’s okay you know. That’s THEM… They will join the bandwagon later on. Just give it time,” he said smiling. Sainte compares the industry today to how it was ten or twen- ty years ago and said that it has changed in a significant way; however, not necessarily in a positive way. “I might have a hat- ed opinion, but I feel like music isn’t as real as it used to be. These days it seems like it’s all about the money, clout and the materialistic stuff, which, don’t get me wrong, is cool but if I
