bite catwalk WEN PAN FASHION WEEK LONDON Spring/Summer 2020 W e welcome Wen Pan for an- other of her divine and ethere- al collections for SS20 at LFW. The fashion designer turned collector worked with flocks of collated fabric to emanate her inspiration for her collection from the left behind fragments of life found in deserted Shanghai homes. The designs used exquisite techniques to re- flect torn wallpapers while floral sheer fabrics worked their ways into tiered maxi dresses and skirts for dainty and feminine womens- wear this season. Wen Pan delivered the ulti- mate looks from sipping tea in the garden to weddings; whatever the weather delivers this season, we are guaranteed to leave all in awe. Torn trench coats brushed the floor, layered over exaggeratedly oversized trousers in creams and whites. This colour palette held our attention on the frays and frills of her designs that tied themselves to one another. Light olive green plaid played a part in giving the collection a free spring-time feel. How the designs were constructed added a certain handmade touch to the collection, therefore, expressing to the human eye how intricate each look is and how much time must have been spent through the design and construction processes to create such truly beautiful pieces.
