bite watches Housed in a stainless steel black PVD 44 mm case, the lim- ited-edition AIKON Quartz Chronograph Strava exhibits a stealthy appearance and an overtly sporty character. The black sun-brushed dial features three contrasting counters, two of which are framed with circular brushed rings, deliver- ing a high quotient of eye appeal. This includes a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock, a 1/10 second counter at 12 o’clock, and a small seconds display at 6 o’clock, with the addition of a date indicator. The hour and minute hands are rhodium plated with white SLN and the light blue hues enrich the central chronograph seconds hand and registers, and the minute track, imbuing the dial with bursts of colour. Just like other AIKON models, the bezel features the brand’s iconic six-arm design. You will find that the chronograph pushers are positioned close to the crown and crown protector, providing a neat design, sporty, aesthetic, and masculine appearance. The quartz movement at the heart of this model eliminates the need for regular winding by the owner and delivers chronometric precision, considered an essential requirement for those who lead from the front. The black calf leather strap with light blue stitching exhibits a carbon-like appearance that has the brand’s stylish ‘M’ logo paired with a butterfly buckle in stainless steel black PVD. The intuitive Easychange system allows wearers to alter the appearance of their watch without the need for any tools. Ready for the battle is the AIKON Three Hands and Chron- ograph timepiece in a 42 mm and 44 mm case respectively. They both have a black PVD steel bezel on the flat side with the raised arms contrast playfully retaining their satin-finish steel. On the Quartz Three Hands, the dial is black with raised horizontal grooves and on the Quartz Chronograph, it’s sun- ray-brushed black. The hour markers and date aperture are at different positions of 3 o’clock on the three-handed version and 6 o’clock for the chronograph. The satin-feel chronograph counters add to the contrast and mirror the case and rhodium-plates hands. Designed with a military green calfskin strap with tone-on-tone stitching, it is also equipped with the Easychange system. Whilst the case of the AIKON Quartz differs from the AIKON Automatic feature-wise, they both share a fixed bezel with six arms, a characteristic-shaped dial with two links that protrude from the case and join with the integrated steel bracelet. Designed with two new faces for the urban adventurer, the 43 mm AIKON Venturer is available in a bold and modern bronze and brown ceramic version and a sporty yet chic gold and steel model with the dial in anchor blue. This automatic watch with three hands and a date function is as the brand says, “Strong but not brutal, robust but not massive, modern but not futuristic” with a real presence on the wrist. The wear- er will be delighted with its function sectors, level of detail, and energy emanating from the piece.
