bite films LACK WIDOW S trong-willed superhero Natasha Romanova better known as Black Widow is coming to the big screen with a movie of her own. Cate Shortland directed one of the most highly anticipated creations and latest edition to Marvel’s Cinematic Uni- verse, where Scarlett Johansson, after ten years of being part of the franchise, is going to explore the life of her char- acter and her story before becoming one of the Avengers. The movie takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War, and includes her training in the Red Room, a Russian training program that takes young girls and turns them into lethal undercover agents, where her sister-figure Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) a fellow Black Widow was also trained. Other stars to appear in the movie are David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, a Russian super-soldier equivalent to western Captain America, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff, another Black Widow and mother-figure to Natasha and Yelena. One of the movie’s biggest myster- ies is the identity of Taskmaster, the main villain and opponent. In the film, Natasha realises she can no longer run from the past and has to finally con- front the enemies she made along the way who have now resurfaced and are trying to destroy her at any cost. She must face them all and a new breed of widows. Regardless of the difficult times and an even more challenging fight for life there is hope for Natasha as she is reunited with the family who are willing to fight with her. It is going to be a very important movie for all of the Marvel lovers around the world with A-list Hollywood talents. Knowing the supernatural abilities of the main protagonist BlackWidow, there is no doubt that the spy thriller is going to be packed with action, adven- ture and topped up with even more jaw-dropping action.
