bite films Jada Brookes takes a look at some of the latest films coming to the big screen. T he upcoming 2020 science fiction thriller film Underwa- ter will likely be compared to the Alien sequel of films. After all, it has a similar storyline undertone but this time the crew members are aboard a research station seven miles below the surface of the ocean. Excited they have made it to the bottom of the sea, the crew members celebrate their arrival with a small party but are unaware that they have upset the territory of some mysterious creatures until the labora- tory gets rocked and torn. Hysterical and panicked, you can imagine the fear running through their veins, not knowing who this intruder is but something certainly has been awakened. Their best chance of sur- vival is getting to the station but as we all know in these kinds of films not everyone will survive. As one of the main characters, Norah Price played by Kristen Stewart will probably be more likely one of the survivors, but it doesn’t mean that she won’t get her fair share of being attacked. Directed by William Eubank and written by Brian Duffield and Adam Cozad, Underwater also stars Vincent Cassel as Captain, Jessica Henwick as Emily, T. J. Miller as Paul and Gunner Wright as Lee. Let’s hope that the fear, adrenaline and the unknown of what is out there will make this science fiction thriller film worth watching.
