The artist is formerly known as Nnamdi Ogbonnaya and recently dropped his first track in over two years which was premiered via Zane Lowes’ Beats 1World First. The accompanying video directed by 17-year-old Chancebum takes place in a seem- ingly post-apocalyptic world in which multiple Nnamdïs are donned in spacesuits in tune with the cosmos. According to the artist, the track ‘Price Went Up’ is a “candid expression of transformative confidence to ask for what I need and deserve. My time is precious, and so is yours. People can take advantage of it because they don’t understand the struggle that goes into trying to build yourself from nothing, or they just don’t care. The price went up.” His name change is said to mark a new beginning and even- tually a new project next year for the Chicago artist.“The new name signifies a new chapter in my life,” he explained further.“Even though it is still my actual birth given name, the presentation is different. Similarly, that’s how my new music feels to me. It all still comes from the same brain, same sources, but presented in a more concise, direct way.” bite new music
