bite beauty Giovanna Zac introduces us to a unique brand that has developed a whole skin care range based on iodised and algae cosmetics, thus showing respect for their natural surroundings and highlighting their passion for sea life. ALGOLOGIE JARDIN MARIN D iscovered at Professional Beauty London, held at ExCel in February 2019, Algologie Jardin Marin is a very special brand whose products are based on algae and marine agents. The brand was founded in 2009 by French cosmetology group, Laboratoires d’Amour headed by Eric Bordon and Francois Loubignac. Their ambition was to create a natural ingredients brand “where the sea is with you all year around". This is possible thanks to their laboratories being built in a very unique setting, right on the peninsula of Penlac, Cote d'Amour, in Brittany, where three kilometres of sandy beach, the icy Gulf stream and rich water sea spray, wildly freed by the wind, are part of their beautiful surroundings. This dreamy set-up houses an incredible variety of marine plants, around 800 types, with each one of them having their own special attributes and benefits.
