The Bite Magazine - Spring 2019 - Issue 24
bite catwalk L ondon FashionWeek favourite Pam Hogg showcased another eccentric and wacky collection true to her punk ethos and out-there style.‘Dr. Pam Hogg’s Fabulous Fabulon’ was the title that greeted guests as they anticipated what was about to come. A perfor- mance of sorts that only Pam could pull off; it was a statement of fun.Technicolour kaleido- scopic prints were the key style throughout the collection, repeated in tops, dresses, trousers and accessories and even the base of the invitation. Multicolour embossing was added to a taupe sack top reiterating the title of the show.Towering boxy hats, some of which were so tall the models had to support them, appeared on the runway in a variety of sizes, all of which featured the same kaleidoscope print, complimenting cat suits and past traditional kaftans of rainbow colours. Pow- der blues and baby pinks, favourites of Pam Hogg, appeared in a number of looks from coats to pink under eye blush. Gold accented added charm into the collection through belts, shoes and even on a pair on hot pants. The highlight of a Pam Hogg collection always comes in the form of excessive and beautiful tulle numbers. This show not failing to charm onlook- ers with full body tulle pieces, accompanied with towering hats of the same tulle rivalled the design on the Royal London guard. It was a masquerade of individual statement pieces all outshining each other. Bright pops of colour flounced down the runway as models were completely obscure by the mass of tulle that adorned their bodies. In true Pam style there were references of doll-like style and exaggerated dolly lashes were included in the make-up drawn on for extra emphasis and complimentary to the magical collection. www.pamhoggshop.com Pam Hogg PAM HOGG
