So why does P!nk dislike Christina Aguilera so much? Well, apparently it all started from the initial talks for the cover of LaBelle’s ‘Lady Marmalade’. P!nk recalled the first conversation about the superstar collaboration where Aguilera reportedly walked in with label executive. “Ron Fair walked in. He didn’t say hi to any of us and said, ‘What’s the high part? What’s the most singing part? Christina’s going to take that part.’ And I stood up, and I said ‘Hi. How are you? So nice of you to introduce yourself! I’m P!nk. She will not be taking that part. I think that’s what the f**king meet- ing’s about.’” However, fast-track 15 years and it seems that the singer and Aguilera have finally settled their long- term beef. P!nk recently explained it was their tumultuous history that made Aguilera the most fun coach to work with when she served as a guest advisor on The Voice . “She and I have had bad history and it hasn’t always been won- derful,” she told ET’s Carly Steel at the red carpet premiere of Alice Through the Looking Glass. “I think it just took us 15 years and I feel like there was true love and it felt really good.” We’re glad to know that P!nk and Aguilera have finally made up as friends. Having been married to husband Carey Hart for ten years now, the singer cele- brated her ‘Tin’ anniversary earlier this year but it hasn’t always been easy for the couple. They first started dating in 2001, split briefly in 2003, before getting back together and finally getting married in 2006. They separated in 2008 but reconciled in 2010, taking counselling sessions to help them work through the difficulties in their marriage. Appearing on the Ellen show, the singer joked that she is due a break from the off-road truck racer because he’s always falling asleep putting their four-year-old daugh- ter to bed. “The other night, I said are you going to stay up tonight? And he said I would like to. I said I don’t really know what that means. Should I light candles and open wine and put on a show, like are we going big here? Or are you going to fall asleep again?” Hoping this time, her opportunity to get intimate with her husband would not get interrupted by him dozing off, P!nk set the scene. “So I lit the candles and opened the wine, and [then it’s] an hour and a half later, but I’m caught up on Homeland so we’re good. Then he wakes up eventually, I’m pretending to sleep. He comes in bed, its pitch dark, he cannot see my face and yet he rolls over and says what’s wrong?” After joking that he was ‘guilty’ for falling asleep again and ‘he sucks’, the singer then added, “No he’s good… he’s very, very handsome. He’s an incredible Dad. That’s why he falls asleep because she [Willow] wants him to stay.” Following her last album The Truth About Love that dropped in 2012, P!nk has now released her latest single ‘Just Like Fire’ taken from the soundtrack to motion picture Alice Through the Looking Glass . The video which features both her husband and daughter sees the singer hanging upside down from the ceiling wrapped in silk material and showing off the acrobatic skills that she is known for. Both P!nk and her daughter enter into a fantasy world through the mirror, where the singer goes through a number of different sceneries to finally end up in a position that she would never have dreamed of.
