And it actually felt like when I was making my first album.” Not one to worry about her curves, Adele admitted in 2012 that she prefers having a fuller figure and believes she wouldn’t have sold 32 million records worldwide if she had been slimmer. When she was pregnant with her son Angelo, now three years old, she said she tried to eat healthier food and exer- cise but hated depriving herself of her favourite treats so much that she quickly ditched the diet. “I tried going to the gym. I don’t like it. I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine,” she said. “But even if I had a really good figure I don’t think I’d get my ‘boobs’ and ‘arse’ out for no one.” To help her look much slimmer on stage, Adele would apparently wear two pairs of body control knickers – and at the Grammys she wore four pairs because she was nervous about how she looked. However, she says she does not have a problem with her fuller figure. “I don’t rely on my figure to sell records,” she said.“I don’t want to be some skinny Minny with my ‘boobs’ out. I really don’t want to do it. No matter what you look like, I think the key is to be happy with yourself.” And talking about her son, since giving birth three years ago, apparently no one really knows what he looks like – which is exactly how Adele wants it. In an interview for Australia’s 60 Minutes, she opened up about being a mother and her perspective on being a celebrity. “When I’m with my kid, I don’t want my kid photographed,” she revealed. “It’s hard enough being a kid in general – imagine growing up and your first kiss… your first cigarette and all that – if that’s how I found out about my child’s life, I definitely would never forgive myself.” Being a very private person, Adele has done well to keep every detail of her life from the media although her relation- ship with partner and father of her child, Simon Konecki did not go unnoticed. And despite her return to the charts being one of the highlights of the year with first single ‘Hello’ taken from the album 25 , there is someone who is none too pleased about this especially when she is away too long: her son.“You know what the killer thing is? When you get home and cannot wait to see them and they punish you,” she revealed to Sirius XM radio station in New York. “It is the worst when they kick off for you, and all you want to do is love them, and they are like, I don’t want to play with you. It is like the hardest thing ever.They make you cry and that is why they do it.
