The Bite Magazine was privileged to receive
an invite to the Istituto Marangoni Graduate
Fashion Show held at Lawrence Hall in south
West London. Giovanna Zac recounts the
highlights of the night.
Istituto Marangoni founded in Milan in 1935 under the
original name of Ar tistic Institute of Garments Marangoni
is the oldest fashion school in Italy. Today the school has
headquar ters in Milan, Paris and London (based in Fashion
Street in east London). Since 2007, the school has been
par t of the Career Education Corporation which incorpo-
rates the best schools in Europe and America in the fields
of health, business and ar t & design.
On the 23
rd
June, the Bite Magazine was invited to
Istituto Marangoni’s Graduate Fashion Show held at
Lawrence Hall in south West London. A parade of 46
designers showed their collections on the catwalk in
groups of three and what an awesome show it was!
Each collection had its own personality, creativity and
unique feel, with an array of colours, shapes, floating gar-
ments and looks all executed with the utmost precision,
attention to details and amazing high standards which the
Instituto, its students and tutors should be absolutely proud
of. Congratulations!
The after show par ty had an impressive display of styl-
ist work, with monitors and images surrounding the great
hall. All the designers that showed their collections with
suppor t from the university organizers to friends and fam-
ily members were celebrated in this amazing high technol-
ogy visualization of their fashion stylist and photography
exhibition accompanied by a live DJ and champagne; a real
treat for The Bite Team,
A huge well-deserved toast to the 2011 graduates of
Istituto Marangoni and as the Italians would say:
