bitefashion reimagined a traditional sportswear garment through exaggerated volume and handcrafted knit techniques, creating an intriguing dia- logue between athleticism and femininity. Elsewhere, red polka-dot denim pieces, padded shoulders, oversized buttons, and candy-striped bubble skirts created a playful visual lan- guage that felt rebellious and tender. Kim’s work successfully balanced humour and craftsmanship, offering garments that were whimsical while remaining grounded in technical skill and sustainable practice. Ksenia Schnaider Few contemporary designers have redefined denim as successfully as Ksenia Schnaider. The Ukrainian label’s signature approach to up- cycling was on full display at Fashion District 2026, where oversized silhouettes and unconventional proportions transformed familiar materials into something entirely new. The collection featured boxy shoulders, exaggerated volumes, and cu- bic forms that challenged traditional denim construction. One of the strongest looks combined a fully upcycled denim jacket with match- ing trousers, demonstrating the label’s ability to balance sustainability with highly recognisable design language. While denim remained the foundation, the collection pushed beyond simple reconstruction. Utility-inspired details, distorted tailoring, and experimental pattern cutting created futuristic garments without sacrificing wearability. In an industry increasingly focused on respon- sible production, Ksenia Schnaider continues to prove that sustaina- bility can be commercially viable, visually distinctive and genuinely innovative. Catalina Negara Moldovan designer Catalina Negara delivered one of the most poetic presentations of the evening. Having spent a decade working as a flo- ral designer before transitioning into fashion, she continues to draw on her background in every aspect of her creative process.
