The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2026 - Issue 39

bitecatwalk S prayground brought a burst of unapologetic ener- gy to the runway with a presentation that blurred the lines between fashion, street culture and performance. Known globally for its bold graphic backpacks and disruptive visual identity, the brand expanded its world far beyond accessories this season, delivering a show- case packed with colour, attitude and urban spectacle. From the moment the show began, Sprayground embraced excess in the best possible way. Oversized silhouettes, graffi- ti-inspired prints and chaotic layering dominated the runway, creating a collection that felt intentionally loud and rebellious. Rather than aiming for polished minimalism, the brand leaned fully into maximalism, celebrating individuality and self-ex- pression through every look. The collection drew heavily from hip-hop culture, skate aesthetics and early 2000s streetwear nostalgia, while intro- ducing futuristic details that pushed the presentation into more experimental territory. Cargo trousers, oversized varsity jackets, graphic hoodies and utility-inspired outerwear ap- peared throughout the runway, often layered with exaggerated accessories and statement bags that carried Sprayground’s unmistakable visual DNA. Prints and graphics were central to the collection’s impact. Car- toon-inspired imagery, distorted typography and graffiti motifs covered garments in a way that felt playful rather than overly commercial. The runway constantly shifted between humour and aggression, reflecting the unpredictable energy of contem- porary street culture. Shark-mouth graphics, one of Spray- ground’s most recognisable signatures, reappeared throughout the collection, reinforcing the brand’s identity without making the show feel repetitive. The presentation was particularly engaging thanks to theatrical pacing. Models moved through the space with confidence and swagger, transforming the runway into a live street perfor- mance rather than a traditional fashion show. Music, lighting, and styling all amplified this atmosphere, creating a sense of immersion that matched the collection’s larger-than-life aesthetic. Despite the visual chaos, there was still a clear understanding of construction and wearability beneath the surface. Technical fabrics, layered textures and carefully exaggerated propor- tions gave the collection depth beyond simple graphic impact. Sprayground understands its audience well. These were clothes designed for visibility, movement and personal statement rath- er than luxury. The accessories naturally remained a standout element. State- ment backpacks, crossbody bags and oversized carry pieces acted almost like wearable sculptures throughout the run- way, reinforcing the brand’s roots while evolving them into a fuller fashion language. Rather than functioning as secondary additions, the bags became integral parts of the silhouettes themselves. In many ways, the collection reflected the current mood of youth culture: fast-moving, overstimulated, expressive and resistant to restraint. Sprayground did not attempt to refine or intellectualise that energy. Instead, the brand embraced it fully, creating a presentation that felt raw, playful and deliberately excessive. Instead of competing with traditional luxury minimalism or conceptual couture, the brand delivered a high-energy celebra- tion of streetwear culture and fearless self-expression, proving that fashion can still be fun, chaotic, and unapologetically bold. https://sprayground.eu
