The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2026 - Issue 39
bitecatwalk HENRI H enri steps into SS26 with a kind of rebellion, asking whether, in an age obsessed with speed and conven‑ ience, designing clothes in the spirit of the 1930s through the 1960s isn’t itself an act of defiance. The brand embraces the idea of creating ‘outdated fashion’ by seeking the unexpected in places we think we already know. Its world is built around icons of femininity, characters to embody, subvert, and reinvent and silhouettes that coexist like roles in a play, crafted for women who refuse to be defined by a single script and instead move fluidly between a thousand selves. For its second collection, Henri sets out the foundations of its identity by returning to archetypal forms such as the hourglass jacket, the bubble cape, the A‑line coat, and the strapless evening dress. Fabrics become a vocabulary distilled from 1950s couture with unexpected jacquards, astrakhan, tone‑on‑tone 18th‑century motifs, high‑shine satin, hound‑ stooth, and shantung. Each material is chosen not for nostalgia but for the precision and drama it brings to the silhouette. The collection treats clothing almost agnostically, less as a mood than as a complete wardrobe, an encyclopaedia of mid‑century couture reimagined for the present. Once again, Henri returns to its central fascination of feminin‑ ity as a series of characters to inhabit, distort, and re‑envision. These silhouettes gather together like performers waiting in the wings, ready for women who understand that identity is expan‑ sive, layered, and endlessly expressive. https://henriparis.studio FASHION WEEK MILAN Spring/Summer 2026 Images courtesy of Maximilian Linz
