The Bite Magazine - Autumn/Winter 2025 - Issue 38

Y ou know it’s close to the festive season when you hear Christmas songs playing everywhere, brightly lit houses with Santa and reindeer decorations, and the odd Carol singing. Once upon a time, there were only snow-covered streets and buildings from the onset of winter. Climate change has lightened the load, although we still get freezing days and nights, reminding us that winter still carries its bite, even if the landscape looks a little different than it once did. This issue of The Bite Magazine embraces the nostalgia for traditions and excitement for what’s new. The automotive world is brimming with bold statements: Audi’s Concept C pushes boundaries with its futuristic silhouette and electric ambition; Ferrari’s Testarossa 849 reimagines heritage with a modern edge; and Ford’s electric Capri SUV revives a classic nameplate for contemporary roads. Each of these machines speaks to the season’s spirit of sleek, daring, and unapologetically forward-looking reinvention. Culture, too, is alive with reinvention. Lisa fromBLACKPINK, stepping out as a solo artist, continues to captivate audiences with hermagnetic stage presence and genre-blending artistry, while Slick Rick reminds us of the timeless power of storytelling in hip-hop, his influence echoing across generations. Together, they embody the rhythm of change and continuity that defines this season. Closer to home, we attended a preview evening at Lírica, the new Spanish tapas restaurant opening at The Cumberland Hotel in January 2026. With its promise of refined dining and atmospheric flair, it’s set to become one of London’s most anticipated culinary destinations. The evening offered a tantalising glimpse of what’s to come and an experience that marries elegance with warmth, much like the festive season itself. This season’s festive goodies include Carluccio’s Italian- inspired delights, from panettone wrapped in elegant packaging to artisanal biscuits perfect for gifting. Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse’s exquisite handmade chocolates are crafted with Parisian precision and rich, velvety depth. Perfume Direct’s luxury fragrances make thoughtful presents or personal treats. And for those crisp winter evenings, Whittard of Chelsea provides warming comfort through its festive teas, hot chocolates, and seasonal blends, inviting you to savour the holidays sip by sip. As we come to the end of 2025, The Bite Magazine celebrates the interplay of tradition, innovation, memory, and momentum. Our content-rich AW25 issue includes fashion, beauty, cars, films, theatre, music, and holiday destinations. Have a glorious and relaxing Christmas with plenty of presents, comfort, and hot toddies.
