A decade after the debut of its most ambitious acoustic masterpiece, this edition celebrates Bang & Olufsen’s relentless pursuit of craftsmanship and innovation. Conceived through the exclu‑ sive Atelier service, it represents a new pinnacle of bespoke artistry, honouring the brand’s storied legacy while shaping the future of high-end audio design. Born from the visionary minds of Atelier artisans, the Beo‑ lab 90 Titan Edition merges technical brilliance with sculp‑ tural elegance, transforming acoustic engineering into a work of art. Its bespoke 65 kg aluminium cabinet has been hand-sandblasted with fine particles from crushed volcanic rock to create a raw yet refined texture. At the same time, polished base panels give the illusion of levitation, reinforc‑ ing its architectural stance. Precision-engineered fittings, delicate aluminium rings en‑ circling each woofer, and a face mask machined from a single block of solid aluminium requiring 12 hours of milling high‑ light the obsessive attention to detail. Fine grooves radiate like sonic ripples, the top lid evokes the glow of a lighthouse, and uniquely crafted fasteners with light-passing apertures add subtle intrigue. Laser-engraved commemorative details pay tribute to the centenary and the legacy of the original Beolab 90, with discreet inscriptions acknowledging the pio‑ neering acoustic innovations that defined the model. Initially launched in 2015, the Beolab 90 remains the pinna‑ cle of Bang & Olufsen’s acoustic innovation. Each sculptural tower houses 18 handmade drivers powered by dedicated amplification and advanced DSP with beam-forming tech‑ nology, delivering extraordinary headroom, control, and precision. The speaker offers focused ‘sweet-spot imaging’ for solitary listening and a complete 360-degree soundfield for social settings, combining transparency and power at the highest level of audiophile performance. Many of these innovations in room compensation, beam-forming control, and precision tuning have since be‑ come foundational to Bang & Olufsen’s philosophy, influenc‑ ing products from the Beolab 50 and Beolab 28 loudspeakers to the Beosound Theatre soundbar and Beosound Balance wireless speaker. The same pursuit of clarity and control now inspires the flagship Beoplay H100 headphones and Beo Grace wireless earphones, distilling the acoustic mastery of the Beolab 90 into portable, personal listening experiences. The Titan Edition marks the first in a series of five exclu‑ sive creations handcrafted by Bang & Olufsen’s Atelier to celebrate the centenary. Produced in limited numbers, each edition is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity under‑ scoring its collectable stature. Over the coming months, four additional interpretations of the Beolab 90 will be unveiled, forming a curated celebration of the brand’s 100-year legacy of innovation, craftsmanship, and timeless design. www.bang-olufsen.com/en/gb
