Set in a studio charged with creativity in central London, the presentation resembled a living installation rather than a typical fashion show. Titled ‘Mother of Pearl, Daughter of Flesh’, the collection was a delicate, raw, sculptural and sensual study in contrast. Designer Elisa Trombatore, a Sicilian talent behind the brand, consistently delves into the concept of duality. Her work celebrates women who defy con- ventional categories. They are romantic, dangerous, soft, assertive, and unafraid to blur the lines. This season, she drew inspiration from the myth of Scylla, reimagining the sea monster as a siren, reclaiming her narrative. Models moved gracefully through the space, navigating around paintings created live by artist Sophie Tea. It made the immersive expe- rience feel more like a performance than a typical presentation. Trombatore’s signature corsetry took centre stage yet again, but this time, it was reworked with an edgier flair. Sheer fabrics and delicate lace, intertwined with shredded gauze and vintage denim, lend each piece a precious and worn-in feel. One standout look featured a high- cut lace bodysuit with visible boning, complemented by raw silk layers that trailed unruly and sensual like seaweed. The collection’s palette embraced a mythic quality of oyster, soft coral, sea foam, and bloodstone. These shades were visually appealing and held depth. Under soft lighting, the fabrics captured shad- ows like waves moving undulating over the skin, driving home the point that these garments thrived in motion. There was instinctive sex appeal with bare backs, sheer panels and exposed collarbones. These pieces knew their purpose. Everything was intentional, yet nothing felt overly polished. Pearls dangled from hems like warnings, and ribbons trailed behind like whispers. Each corset felt like an invitation and armour. Footwear made a subtle but impactful appearance with platform ballet heels in muted tones, echoing the collection’s tension between grace and danger. Trombatore devel- oped her unique language built on tension, texture, and touch.
