bitecatwalk TALENTS FASHION WEEK LONDON Spring/Summer 2025 T his season’s Fashion Scout in London showcased FJU Talents, which created a more introspective space than previous events. Instead of focusing on spec- tacle, the designers delved into their cultural roots, personal mythologies, and storytelling that left a lasting im- pression long after the runway show. Sponsored by the College of Fashion and Textiles at Fu Jen Catholic Uni- versity in Taiwan, the FJU Talents show featured four emerging design- ers: Chi Li, Shun An Chen, Din, and Chi An Lee. Although their voices were distinct, they were united by a shared urgency to connect identity and creativity globally. FJU C hi Li’s ‘Power of Transformation’ collection drew from folklore and pop culture to provide a nuanced reinterpretation of femininity. Influenced by the divine generals of Taiwanese my- thology and the ‘magical girl’ archetype from anime, the designer reimagined the transformation sequence as an empow- erment site. The designs incorporated ornamental armour elements, bows, pleats, and sculpted panels, blending strength and delicacy. This collection boldly and play- fully reclaimed feminine power, evoking a sense of nostalgia while feeling decidedly futuristic. CHI LI
