Martic also admires Lorenzo Bernini’s life-like mar- ble sculptures that capture the essence of living flesh and emotion. French contemporary artist Philippe Pasqua, best known for his paintings of Vanitas, is considered one of the major artists of his generation. Renowned French sculptor Christophe Charbonnel is celebrated for his monumental and innovative sculptures. Chinese artist-sculptress Luo Li Rong creates figurative bronze sculptures that capture flu- idity movement and elegant human form. The sculptor loves showing his work in London, Switzerland and Luxembourg. However, he says the art industry depends partly on the global geo- political climate. Although new technologies bring creative renewal, they move away from the artist’s manual quality in favour of the engineering put in place. “We must put emotion and the artist back at the heart of art,” he remarked.
