New Gadgets on the Go bitegadgets D anish electronics brand Bang & Olufsen un- veiled the Beosystem 3000c, a refined music system that reintroduces the Beogram 3000 turntable from 1985, meticulously recreated and paired with contemporary Beolab 8 stereo speak- ers in a coordinated artisanal walnut finish. The mu- sic system limited to 100 individually numbered sets seamlessly bridges the ritual of vinyl with the fluidity of today’s listening habits, offering a powerful and tactile experience where analogue and streaming live side by side. This third release from Bang & Olufsen’s Recreated Classics series comes from a programme dedicated to giving iconic products a second life through restora- tion, reengineering, and aesthetic reinterpretation. The Beosystem 3000c’s handcrafted walnut and re-anodised aluminium unite past and present through original ma- terials that have been preserved, cleaned, upgraded and future-proofed by Bang & Olufsen’s team of specialists in Struer, Denmark. In 1985, the Beogram 3000 brought Bang & Olufsen’s pioneering tangential tracking technology into a more compact and electronically automated form. Its floating appearance and refined control panel made it a design icon of its time. The same design in the Beogram 3000c is preserved and elevated with modern craftsmanship. The turntable features a precision-machined solid wal- nut back cover, a new aluminium control panel, a dust lid, fabric cables and a future-ready pick-up cartridge. The original aluminium parts have been remanufac- tured and finished in pearl-blasted and brushed treat- ments at Bang & Olufsen’s Factory 5. The accompanying Beolab 8 stereo speakers mirror the turntable’s crafts- manship, featuring walnut lamellas and pearl-blasted aluminium shells, which create a cohesive visual and acoustic experience. Both units deliver deep, dynamic sound, whether immersed in the warmth of vinyl or streaming a favourite playlist.
