bitewatches L aunched in celebration of World Oceans Day, the Unite with Blue collection is Citi- zen’s homage to the vast, mysterious wa- ters that cover over 70% of our planet. It draws from the ocean’s visual poetry and translates it into structural design. The models feature structural col- our dials with shades of deep blue inspired by the calm, glittering sea. The pigment-free ink on the dial utilises light reflecting off the surface of the microstructures in the ink to create a range of hues and tones. The Sea of Silence release expands the collection with six new models. The radio-controlled XC Unite with Blue timepiece, limited to 1,200 pieces, is inspired by a ray of light shining upon a beautiful blue ocean. It fea- tures a pigment-free structural colour dial adorned with four lab-grown diamonds and precision-cut elements that represent bubbles floating to the surface. It offers world-time functionality, luminous hands and markers and spherical sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating. It features a 27 mm silver-tone case and bracelet with a fold-over clasp and push-button closure, construct- ed from Super Titanium™ with Duratect Platinum. The watch features the H060 calibre powered by Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology. Its radio-controlled timekeeping automatically synchronises with atomic clocks for precise time across multiple time zones. The Perpetual Calendar automatically adjusts for leap years and varying month lengths, while the World Time Func- tion covers 26 time zones.
