Inside the cabin, the Drive Mode Se- lector and Organ Stop vent controls are punctuated by the glint of 18-karat rose gold using Bentley’s Additive Manufacturing (AM) printing technique. Through their collaboration with renowned goldsmiths Cook- songold, the hallmarked 18-karat rose gold option is one of the innovative finishes customers can explore in Batur through their bespoke Mulliner division. Other choices include aerospace-in- spired titanium and sustainable, leather-like textiles made from by-products of the coffee roasting process. These can be added to the immense range of leathers, woods, and other options. Since the Roaring Twenties, Mulliner has coach-built bespoke bodies for some of the world’s most iconic Bentleys, including the famous R-Type Continental of 1952. Today, they operate as the marque’s bespoke division, delivering everything from per- sonal commissions to coach-built cars. It offers an exclusive, face-to-face service for customers who demand the rarest and most exquisite vehicles, often co-designing features and finishes to suit the individual’s unique tastes. Batur is the most powerful, exclusive, and dynamic Bent- ley coupé. The adaptive three-chamber air springs with three switchable chambers change the air spring’s volume and effec- tive stiffness. The Drive Dynamics Control in the centre allows you to select driving modes like Sport, Bentley, Comfort, or Custom. It also monitors the behaviour of 48V electric active anti-roll torque, providing up to 1,300 Nm of anti-roll torque in 0.3 seconds or decoupling the wheels at either end of each axle. Overall traction and cornering grip are maximised through the electric Limited Slip Differential (eLSD), which actively vectors drive torque across the chassis. It is complemented by torque vectoring by brake, whereby the car can lightly brake the inside rear wheel on turn-in for more excellent front-axle response via Bentley’s CSiC (Carbon-Silicon-Carbide) braking system. It can also lightly brake both inside wheels on the corner exit to move power across to the outside loaded wheels for better traction. Bentley has enhanced the Batur’s innovative design DNA with a sibling coupé. The Batur Convertible retains the exact powerful iconic W12, with a 750 PS, hand-assembled 6.0-litre twin-tur- bocharged engine that has powered the marque’s success for the last two decades. It will also be one of the last ever Bentleys to use this incredible powertrain. Its convertible roof delivers an aesthetic of beauty as a modern, tactile alternative to a hardtop roof. Its combination of insulation material, sealing system refine- ments and acoustic treatments creates a cosseting environment that can deploy or stow the roof in 19 seconds. While travelling up to 30 mph, this transforms the car from a luxurious coupé into an open-top grand tourer at the touch of a button. Like the Batur, Mulliner’s in-house design team will help its customer co-create their Batur Convertible using their specially created visualiser customising colour and surface finishes. All 18 Batur coupé priced at $1.65 million each (excluding taxes and options) have been reserved by Mulliner clients.
