Celebrating 175 years of Glashütte watchmaking, Nomos launched the Tangente 38 Datum Sportbunt referencing the vintage GDR tracksuit worn by their in-house designer, Thomas. It also reminisces ‘70s fashion, the Olympic Rings, and the bright and cheerful days of youth, with a stainless steel case, bipartite sapphire crystal glass back, a red dial, 23 jewels, rhodium-plated hands, a turquoise minute ring, a golden yel- low outer ring, dark red sub-seconds date display at 6 o’clock and a red date background. The in-house built DUW 4101 calibre powered watch has manual winding and a date indicator. It maintains a splash- proof water resistance of up to 3 ATM, a power reserve of up to 42 hours and has a dark grey textile strap. Special quali- ties include the Nomos swing system, blue balance spring, Glashütte stop-seconds mechanism and three-quarter plate, DUW regulation system, Glashütte ribbing tempered blue screws rhodium-plated surfaces, Glashütte sunburst ratchet and crown wheel, and Nomos perlage. Other striking colours in the 31 elegant model series include Katzengold (Fool’s Gold) in a contentedly sunny yellow dial, framed by creamy white outer and minute rings, and a pink sub-seconds dial.
