T hey say, ‘If you want to see the sunshine, you must weather the storm’. While this quote implies dealing with a difficult situation or problem with minimal impact, literal storms Bert and Darragh caused havoc throughout the UK in November and December. The latter, particularly with roaring winds at 90 mph, left cars and houses crushed by trees, casualties, roads flooded, and thousands without power. We hope help and power are restored to those affected soon. In contrast, we journey through Turner’s Sublime Legacy at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The exhibition showcased Joseph Mallord William Turner’s representations of the world in a sublime mode, from his landscapes to the elementary explorations of light and atmosphere. Landscape artist Caio Locke unveiled his cityscape paintings at the Eclectic Gallery in London. His surreal city etchings employ perspective anomalies, optical depth and intricate composition. Bugatti Rimac delves into the future with the Tourbillon. The model named after Abraham-Louis Breguet’s watchmaking invention is equipped with an all- new 8.3-litre naturally aspirated V16 engine and electrified powertrain, leaving the legendary W12 powerhouse behind. Likewise, Ferrari traded its V12 engine for a Formula 1-style V6-hybrid powertrain in the F80, which has maximum power capacities, making it Ferrari’s most powerful road car. We celebrate supermodel Naomi Campbell’s modelling career and achievements at the Naomi: In Fashion exhibition at the V&A in London. It’s the first major exhibition devoted to a fashion model. It highlights Naomi’s beginnings, influence on global fashion, relationships with other models and designers, philanthropic efforts, and around 100 iconic looks worn on the catwalks, campaigns, and around town. Harry Styles invites us to his residence in his third studio album, Harry’s House . We explore his music, character, fashion sense, social causes, and One Direction boyband days. Earlier this year, Sabrina Carpenter brought sunshine to our lives with the summer hit ‘Espresso’ taken from her sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet. However, we retracted a bit when the singer played with lethal weapons against Jenna Ortega in her music video for ‘Taste’. We’re sure she’s sweet, really! We dined at The Ox in Clapham, a recently opened gastropub offering Pan-Asian-infused British plates. Its farm-to-fork dishes comprise ethically and sustainably sourced succulent beef that tantalises your palate. In central London, Donutelier, a pastry boutique blending classic pastry techniques and modern French patisserie flair, treated us to artistically created mouthwatering doughnuts.
