The concept of the wardrobe as a motif is reflected in several aspects of the collection. Hanger-inspired designs were evident in the con- struction of blazers and small duffle coats, while collar-cut sweaters featured deconstructed elements that created a trompe l’oeil effect of hanging fabric. This motif extended to knits and dresses that twisted sensually on the body. Inspired by suspension and movement, Beckham’s parachute dresses featured skirts gathered between the ankles to create a volu- minous, bouncing effect.
