It aimed to redefine the relationship between nature and technology to create a visually stunning and con- ceptually rich presentation. Tradition and rebellion duality informed the Spring-Summer 2019 ‘Fashion Glitch’ collection, ex- ploring imperfections as an expression of individu- ality and character. The designs featured bold, exag- gerated volumes and artistically destroyed looks, with shiny liquid-effect materials like PVC accentuating an artificial luxury allure. Alongside oversized volumes, asymmetrical tailoring and eccentric accents, sports- wear was hybridised with feminine elements to create a playful and ironic aesthetic. The designer redefined the aesthetic canon of femi- ninity in her Fall-Winter 2019 ‘Spontaneous Beauty’ collection, with clashing silhouettes and animal prints that showcased beauty in imperfection. The bold and vibrant colour palette collection included innovative textiles and high-tech materials that continued the brand’s exploration of futuristic fashion. Accessories complemented the futurist theme, adding to the over- all cohesive look of the collection. For Spring-Summer 2020, a girl from the future trav- elled a hundred years back in time to the ‘80s. The collection’s contrast and futuristic elements featured exaggerated shoulders on the pleather shirt dress- es, prom dresses and one-shoulder cocktail gowns. High-waist structures and elegant, playful silhouettes led to fluffy party dresses. Accessories like exagger- ated metal glasses, crystal appliqués and print hair scrunchies added special touches. Yang explored the danger of fake news and the over- whelming exposure to information through the in- ternet, television, and social media in her Fall-Win- ter 2020 ‘Infoxication’ presentation. The collection featured ultra-vivid looks with a dystopian edge, in- corporating bright colours and ‘80s shoulders, such as a pink taffeta minidress with balloon sleeves and a rainbow-striped suit jacket.
