The 2019 drama film The Short History of the Long Road saw the actress play teenage Nola, who spent much of her life on the open road with her self-reliant father, Clint. In the 2020 biographical romantic musical drama teen film Clouds , Sabrina played Sammy Brown, Zach So- biech's best friend, who suffers from osteosarcoma, a cancerous tumour in the bone and supports his music dreams. The 2022 comedy thriller Emergency sees the singer play Maddy, one of the BIPOC college students getting ready for a night of partying but faced with an unusual emergency. On Broadway in 2020, she played protagonist Cady Heron in the musical Mean Girls. Her second album, Evolution , was released in 2016 and debuted at #28 on the US Billboard 200, marking a sig- nificant step forward in her musical career. It transitioned from her debut album’s folk and teen pop sound to a more mature and electrifying dance-pop style. Tracks like 'On Purpose' and 'Thumbs' highlighted her ability to convey strong, relatable messages. Other songs like 'Run and Hide' and 'All We Have Is Love' incorporated electronic beats and modern production techniques. Two years later, the singer released her R&B-influenced dance-pop album Singular: Act I , featuring singles 'Al- most Love' and 'Sue Me' with a more introspective and personal sound. The album explores self-discovery, rela- tionships, and empowerment, with songs like 'Hold Tight' and 'Bad Time' delving into deeper emotions. The following year, she unveiled the sequel, Singular: Act II, a blend of pop, R&B, and dance-pop. It features upbeat tracks and emotional ballads, with songs like 'Pushing 20' and 'Exhale' standing out for their catchy hooks and strong vocal performances. At the same time, 'In My Bed' and 'Tell Em' convey deep emotions. The al- bum debuted at #138 on the US Billboard 200 and re- ceived positive reviews noting her improved songwriting and vocal delivery.
