Pieces include the black blazer with a twisted belt tied at the back, the beige tailored wool blazer with an open back and matching relaxed wool trousers, the purple wool shirt and trousers, and the black one-shoulder cutout bod- ysuit. Bright like the sun in an apricot, the silk blouse has a draped scarf that can be thrown over the shoul- der. This colour is also seen in the apricot silk midi dress with a matching belt. I like the grey double-breasted cashmere coat made from virgin wool and silk and the beige wool midi trench coat that can be worn with the wool trousers. The purple mini skirt with an asymmetric waistband is exciting and can be paired with the fitted purple wool blazer. Drape the grey cashmere scarf over the matching tailored grey cashmere blazer and wide-leg- ged trousers. The black draped jersey midi dress with a high neck and long sleeves is sleek and slim-fitting. Female empowerment continues in ElenaReva’s SS24 collection, drawing inspiration from the ances- tral Mother Goddess, a divine entity and homeland reverence standing resiliently against disorder. “Our ancestors depicted a supernatural being who embod- ied the continuity of life as a steadfast and fearless protector.” This season, the print based on the orna- ments on Trypillian clay jugs was developed in collaboration with artist Lina Nechipolina. This collection features a structured jacket with an off-the-shoulder effect harmonised with a trans- parent, weightless chiffon dress. The lines of the woollen bustier dresses with uncompromising preci- sion complement the smooth silhouettes of the silk suit. Feminine essence continues in the monumental palazzo trousers and expressive corsets and busti- ers, while delicate dresses with thin straps accentuate every movement and floral prints appear. The cornflower blue print on a white background symbolises rebirth, in contrast to the abstract bull depiction that portrays masculinity and vigour. The designer also highlighted the depth and relevance of Ukrainian traditions with plakhta skirts over volumi- nous trousers. The continuity of jewellery art through pendants resembled handcrafted silver jugs and bull artefacts as though modern archaeologists found them. ElenaReva partnered with fellow Ukrainian brand Bagllet, also based in Kyiv. The brand, influenced by life’s rhythm in the surrounding cities, is known for using quality materials, fittings and leather that retains its original appearance. The collaborative minimalist yet elegant monochromic black and beige accesso- ries featured geometric designs, while the ElenaReva graphic prints ranged from sophisticated and sultry to sharp and structural.
