Gasanova became the first Ukrainian brand whose dresses were worn on the Oscars’ ceremony red carpet by celebrities, including Albanian-American singer Bleona Qereti, who donned the bedazzled crystal ‘naked’ dress. The brand’s bold and creative DNA is inspired by iconic fashion figures and reminiscent of modern-day aristocracy. Its signature aesthetic blends class and effortless elegance with an exciting, fun twist. The suits are meticulously detailed, and the iconic crys- tal-adorned gowns are stunning. The almost all-white FW17 collection injected brown, gold, and dark blue hues into it. Long white coats, suits, shirts, tops, and dresses dominated the catwalk. Some of the garments had gold and amber paint splatters. Other apparel included a gold jumpsuit under a long oversized blazer, a cropped long- sleeved top accompanied by a long centre split paint-splat- tered white skirt, and a heart-shaped bodice over a furry white jumpsuit. More colours were featured in the SS18 collection shown at the 41st Ukrainian Fashion Week, consisting mainly of single, double-breasted and three-piece suits. The models were predominantly female, with five male models walking the suits. The palette consisted of green, beige, brown, salmon, light and navy blue, purple, and red. There was also a cropped jacket with shorts, another short jacket with a flowing skirt, a wide culotte jumpsuit, and dresses. The finale was a glittery silver dress with a side split. Call Me Casanova displayed the iconic denim in an off-the- shoulder top with long sleeves and raw edges matched with two-toned trousers and a patchwork kaftan shirt with a belt and glittery panels in Gasanova’s FW18 collection. Other attractive apparel featured leather and fabric harnesses, intri- cate patterns, and lace pieces. The most outstanding designs were the tan and blue leather coat with a tie waist and the red oversized furry jacket and skirt. The brand kept the audience enchanted with its SS19 collec- tion at the 43rd Ukrainian Fashion Week. Creative ideas like the long one-shoulder asymmetric white shirt with a micro skirt, a short purple jacket with grey underlay on one lapel, a one-shoulder double-breasted jacket, a beige spaghetti strap jumpsuit with cutout side panels, a sheer crystal mesh jump- suit with a bodysuit underneath, floor-length low plunge silk gowns, and a high-waisted sheer and blue spiral skirt over a black bodysuit were iconic. Besides the sheer crystal bodysuit and cropped halter-neck top showing two models’ breasts, the remaining glittery silver FW19 collection consisted of jackets, essential and cropped tops, coats, a matching hooded jacket and shorts, knitted dresses and trousers with extra waist layer and zip panels down the legs. The short glittery purple jacket, the white jacket with glittery lapel and pockets, long-length coats and the black glittery jumpsuit stole the show. Before the pandemic hit Ukraine, Elvira showcased her main- ly dark blue and grey SS20 collection of suits, coats, dresses, crop tops, trousers and bodysuits at the 45th Ukrainian Fash- ion Week. The FW20 collection was more elaborate, with new romantic gothic interpretations in the black and blue satin dresses’ hypertrophic sleeves and taffeta silhouettes. Black dominated the SS21 collection with hints of blue and denim, while the FW21 collection took the satin gowns further in black and blue. For SS22, the designer presented a digital show at New York Fashion Week. Brighter reds, yellows, purple, and blue were injected into the collection alongside elegant black and white. The models stood beside clothed mannequins mimicking some of the designs. “The pandemic has [allowed us] to see how much clothing affects our behaviour, mood and charac- ter,” Elvira said. “Different clothes make you feel different, and our collection will push girls wishing to get dressed and enjoy life.” Gasanova’s designs returned to their sexy roots with the sheer crystal and lace dresses showing the models’ underwear in the FW22 collection. Satin jackets and trousers in brown with frilly hems, white and black, appeared. The light pink one-shoulder mini ruched dress, the mini oversized dress with a tie waist, the baby pink jacket with black lapels and matching trousers, and the leather trench coat brightened and stole the show. Some of the glittery apparel also walked the catwalk. Inspired by the Ukrainian people’s strength, resilience and celebration of hope, rebirth and a brighter future, Elvira re- leased a new chapter of her SS23 collection. The first half was deeply influenced by the war hardships and power outages that affected the country, depicted by monochromatic pieces. The second half of slip dresses, oversized blazers, feath- er-trimmed tops, satin blouses and classic trousers featured yellows, lilac, pinks, baby blue and turquoise, symbolising their ability to stay hopeful. The SS24 collection saw enriched red and pink highlight the greys, browns, blues, blacks and whites. Styles include the braid corset dress, sequinned maxi dress, fitted jacket and semi-flare trousers, waistcoat dress with side buttons, chiffon bandeau maxi dress, chiffon pants, silk maxi dress, midi jacket dress and jacket with double lapel. Gasanova replaced the blue with white denim in the oversized shirt and straight jeans, while other apparel consisted of suits, sheer shirts, knit tops and midi skirts.
