Greek contributions to the exhibition are equally compelling. Diamantis Aidinis’ work often explores themes of identity and cultural heritage, using the comic format to engage with contemporary issues. Spyros Verykios’s Greek comics are celebrated for their wit and political edge, reflecting the social climate of the time. Dimitris Papaioannou’s bold visual storytelling has influenced a generation of Greek artists. Konstantinos Papa- michalopoulos combines traditional Greek iconography with modern comic elements to create a unique visual style that resonates with local and internation- al audiences. ‘Wow! Pow! Bam!’ was designed to immerse visitors in comics and painting. The exhibition at Zoumboulakis Gallery was divided into thematic sections, each highlighting different aspects of the intersection between the two medi- ums.
