bitefashion PAOLA PRETI Scilla e Cariddi is the tragic, mythical and contextual love story of two beautiful women transformed into grotesque sea monsters by a jealous magician serving his love interest. A powerful homage to Paola’s Italian heritage, we admired the colour palette of the sea monster collection, with the monster’s face handbags making this an exciting story. The sculptured designs look well-made and creative. This Ital- ian-born designer has something unique to introduce to society. LIVERPOOL JOHN MOORES GEORGE THOMAS “It’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it.” George’s collection is about individuality versus conformity. It explores school uniforms and their restrictions alongside integral work uniforms worn by blue-collar workers. Some outfits worked well to create an edgy style with muted colours and statement pieces. His looks could be a nice take for the future workplace and school uniforms, and we should consider the pos- sibility of conforming sooner rather than later. https://www.ljmu.ac.uk
