G. Cook and Easyfun behind Thy Slaughter returned with their double single ‘Lost Everything/Reign’ in November, taken from their debut album Soft Rock , released on 1 December via PC Music. The video for ‘Lost Everything’ co-written with the late Scot- tish music producer, songwriter and DJ SOPHIE, features Ellie Rowsell from Wolf Alice’s vocals, while A.G. and Easyfun shine in ‘Reign’ in quintessential Thy Slaughter fashion. The album featuring twelve tracks is a sonic fusion of hard pop and soft rock, setting out to blur the traditional bounds of genre. It features PCMusic friends and collaborators Charli XCX, Car- oline Polachek and Alaska Reid. Caroline and Alaska recently performed with Thy Slaughter at their sold-out PC Music 10th anniversary Halloween Party at HERE at Outernet in London, which saw some fans in costume come together to celebrate the past decade of the beloved label. Thy Slaughter’s new releases follow their official debut double single ‘Sentence/If I Knew’ released in October, and the pre- vious track ‘Bronze’ featured on PC Music Volume 1 in 2015. Soft Rock also falls in PC Music’s final month of new releases as the label will shift to archival projects and special reissues from 2024 onwards. Over the last ten years, PC Music, A.G.’s brain- child, has reshaped the landscape of pop music and fostered an environment of experimentation and innovative production. https://pcmusic.info
