They have recently acquired their first alpine of- fering, the 70-room mountain paradise, Cervino set at the end of the Aosta Val- ley on the Italian side of the Matterhorn, a mountain of the Alps, stranding the main watershed and border between It- aly and Switzerland. Cervino is an exciting and innovative alpine hideaway paying homage to the surrounding landscape. The core of the building process was a desire to respect the landscape whilst integrating it into the design. It has six floors divided into three separate spaces, which make up the hotel’s 70 rooms, including six suites and four ADA-accessible rooms. Each room utilises local, natural, eco-friend- ly elements such as wood and glass and offers awe-inspiring landscape views. Le Saveur Restaurant aims to captivate guests with its traditional Vadostana cuisine and offers diners panoramic views of the Matterhorn and surround- ing peaks. Guests can also admire the view with a speciality cocktail at the hotel’s Santus Lounge Bar. After an active-filled day exploring Cervinia, guests can retreat to the comfort and se- renity of the property’s state-of-the-art wellness area. The space includes four spa suites, two indoor swimming pools, three saunas, a salt room and an indoor gymnasium. Cervinia is one of the largest and high- est ski areas in the Alps, with over 150 km of pistes to explore, most well above 3,000 metres. The slopes are high, open, and sunny thanks to their westerly ori- entation. Boasting fantastic snow cov- erage, it gives access to the Swiss resort of Zermatt and the Plateau, which can be reached in just over 30 minutes from Cervinia using the ski lifts and slopes. Thanks to the Plateau Rosà Glacier, Cervinia offers one of Europe’s long- est seasons, with skiing possible for around nine months. Visitors can ski from mid-October to the beginning of May. Last July, the Matterhorn Alpine Crossing, the highest cable car cross- ing in the Alps, opened, offering a new route between Cervinia and Zermatt. The 90-minute cross glides over the stunning mountain landscape strad- dling the Italian-Swiss border, with the Matterhorn always in view. The two sites have become the training ground for the World Cup national and inter- national teams. Skiers and snowboard- ers can head to Snowpark Zermatt, the largest freestyle facility on any glacier. Cervino, Valle D’Aosta, Italy, offers dou- ble rooms from €320 per night, based on two adults sharing on a B&B basis.
