Cristina Lloyd looks at Turkish accessories brand Loie’s shoes, boots, handbags and belt collection. biteshoes W hen Pinar Yilmaz established her Istan- bul-based clothing, footwear and acces- sories brand, Loie, in 2018, her family’s business, with 49 years of experience in the footwear sub-industry, helped. The founder also had a passion for shoes as a child. Her fashion design education and use of first-class leather, handcrafting and technology cemented her success in Turkey and abroad. The brand focuses on appealing to modern women with its comfort-wearing accessories collection. Loie pushes the boundaries by offering trendy, chic and effortless designs in a unique online and store shopping experience, prioritising customer satisfaction, the mate- rial used and ultimate comfort. It opened its first store on Nisantasi Akkavak Street, which became the meeting point of Istanbulites, focusing on the boutique luxury re- tail concept. After implementing the online shopping fa- cility last year, it increased in Turkey and worldwide. The brand offers a range of footwear and accessories, including shoes, boots, sandals, slippers, sneakers, bags, belts, and apparel pieces. Some of their boots are influ- enced by the cowgirl style, such as the Crown Anthracite and Crown Gold Leather Boots in a 10.5 cm heel with a rubber sole, medallion stitching on the shaft and a pull strap. In the same print, the Crown Black and Coffee Leather Boots provide a sturdy and robust look with ulti- mate comfort in mind. Elenora Camel Suede Boots also features medallion stitching on the shaft and vamp, along with the brand’s silver emblem on the pull strap and another distinctive emblem on the back heel. The reflective metallic Emily Silver Boots has an 8.5 cm platform TPU (thermoplastic polyurethanes) wood base and a pointed toe. Cameron Black Leather Boots features a distinctive metal on the ramp perfectly crafted into the toe box and zips on the inside leg. Milo Black Boots in leather and textile has a combat look with a chunky 4 cm heel, termo base, silver metal panel on the back heel, lace eyelets and the star emblem on the collar. New Mac Crocodile Shoes in black or camel are designed with a lightweight EVA-rubber sole for long- term cushioning, a 6 cm chunky heel and the star emblem across the quarter. Viva Leather Slippers in white, coffee, or black have a 10.5 cm heel, studded embroidered leather panels and a suede quarter.
