Images courtesy of Getty Images for LACMA When Art and Film Collide: The Magic of LACMA's An- nual Gala Tradition O n 4 November, Los Angeles came alive as the city's shakers, movers, creators, and cultural icons gathered under the stars to celebrate artistic imagination at its finest. The occasion that drew over 650 luminaries across industries was the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's (LACMA) 12th Annual Art+Film Gala. Co-chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and acclaimed actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, the gala honoured two creative trailblazers, artist Judy Baca and iconic filmmaker David Fincher. Through a stunning evening fusing cinema and visual art, the event raised over $5 million to propel LACMA's interdisciplinary pro- gramming and engagement with moving images.
