The designer desires to break the status quo and make fashion more accessible for the older generation. He also believes they have more say in the literal ‘hide-and-seek’ game. Hu is the winner of the New Zealand Performance Art Award. He has served as a judge and director for Miss World for several years, as well as the Miss European Chinese of ATV Hong Kong and Miss China of Phoenix Satellite, designing and providing competition clothing for the contestants.
