bitebeauty F ounded by Nitin Passi in 2009 and recently acquired by House of Fraser, Missguided has a stronghold in the fashion world. It was only a matter of time before they embraced the beauty aspect. Their new make-up collection caters to all skin tones with great shades and textures, making it fun to experiment with. One of the most trendy make-up aspects is contouring, and I was impressed with the Hi-Lit Liquid Highlighter, an instant glow and intense highlighter with a light, easy-to-blend texture. It’s nicely pigmented, with a beautiful enhanced sheer natural finish, thanks to its pearlised formula rich in Vitamin E. The liquid highlighter, complete with a lovely sponge applicator, like lipgloss, makes contouring simple but effective. Apply with the applicator or your fingertips over the cheekbone, bridge of the nose, and upper lip for beautifully enhanced features. For a more dra- matic effect, use a wet sponge. Shading compliments contouring, utilising a matte, dark powder or cream to balance, creating a dimensional finish and diminishing the appearance of more comprehensive and prominent features. I used the Instant Vacay Bronzer Duo Powder in Light/ Medium for contouring my face. The multitasked matte bronzer is ideal for a sculpted finish and a lovely sun- kissed look. The fine powder, enriched with vitamin E, Argan Oil and Sweet Almond Oil, is soft and allows you to build and recreate a customised finish. The duo colours can be mixed or used independently with a bronzer or contouring brush for a natural or dramatic look. The bronzer, also available in Dark, is excellent as an eyes- hadow or eyeliner. Another product is the lovely Glow Up Face and Body Mist in Icy Glow, Champagne Colour, or Tan Glow that leaves a delightfully gorgeous healthy glow on the skin. It’s fresh, silky and light in texture, looks fantastic on all skin tones and is rich in fruit extracts and natural oils. For the ultimate shimmer glow, I love to spray the mist three inches away from the skin, allowing it to dry naturally. It leaves a uniform finish without having to spread or blend it in.
