The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2023 - Issue 33

bitemusic Palindrones said that although the album has a story, they leave the details to the listener's interpretation. They do not tell them what to think and feel; instead, they in- vite us to consider what it means to evoke these thoughts and feelings and how this connects us. “In the science fiction context of the story, what it means to discover we are not alone in the universe and how this affects that consideration.” The duo love London where they enjoy mooching around, whether it’s exploring the streets, visiting art galleries and exhibitions, or going to gigs and cabaret shows. They would like to perform around Europe . “Dark Malta and Wave Gotic Treffen in Germany are just 2 of the many festival I’d love to perform at ! ” said Karen. “But honestly, we’d love to take our music worldwide if possible!” Recently, they travelled to Malaysia to visit Karen’s ancestral seat of Penang . “The culture, scenery and tropical climate inspired us to reinterpret one of our songs from the album, producing the Tiānlóng (meaning Heavenly Dragon) mix of ‘Coma Berenices’ from our hotel room, which we released on 23 June. We captured our experience there on film, which serves as the accompanying video for the song.” The duo would advise aspiring bands, "If you're passion- ate about making music, don't give up. Don't get hung up on numbers; it's a long game that takes time and work for your audience to find you. Carve your path; don't try to be anyone else." Over the remainder of 2023, Palindrones will be releasing singles and videos from the album Chapter One: With Fearful Velocity and performing around the UK as much as possible.
