The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2023 - Issue 33
bitelingerieswim Cristina Lloyd admires Andrés Sardá’s sexy lingerie and swimwear collections inspired by influential women in architecture. I t is no secret that Spanish lingerie brand Andrés Sardá appreciates women regardless of their field. This season, they are inspired by the visionaries of the architecture world. We can attempt to in- fluence the world and improve it to be more positive and pleasant through our control limitations. Archi- tecture helps to build a better world and share beau- ty, wellness, inspiration and positivism. It also breaks down barriers, becomes accessible and delivers some- thing new and positive in our lives. The SS23 lingerie collection consists of several styles, including Long, named after New Jersey native Mary Jane ‘MJ’ Long, who completed a degree in Architec- ture at Yale before she moved to the UK in 1965. Her husband, Colin St John Wilson, is often credited with designing the British Library, which took 15 years to build, but MJ oversaw the operational aspects. She ran her business MJ Long Architect from 1974 to 1996 and designed several artists’ studios, particularly for designers. The Long Full Cup, Full Cup Wireless and Padded Plunge Bras in Sahara are completed with Rio briefs or short thongs. The aqua green, opaline lace combines delicate, fresh and soft European charmeuse fabric with a light satin touch. It has an invisible neckline and tulle interior, complemented by a contrasting flo- ral band to add touches of femininity and sensuality. The multi-positioned spaghetti straps are made from the same fabric and decorated with a matching tone for added lightness. Zaha in Body, Padded Balcony and Balcony Vertical Seam Bras with Rio briefs or short thongs in Florida or Black is the most feminine, sensual collection in the Barcelona line, combining delicate, soft, mesh-like fab- ric and a lace band with spaghetti straps. Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, a follower of the deconstructiv- ist movement, inspires this style. She studied architec- ture and lived in London, accomplishing prestigious prizes such as the Mies van der Rohe Prize in 2003 and Pritzker Prize in 2004. Andrés Sardá Lingerie & Swimwear Rule the Sun
