The spacious Engine Room, with its exceptional Liberty-style furnishings, is completed with unaltered turbines and die- sel engines, while the Boiler Room houses the massive Steam Boiler. Marvel at the ancient marbles while letting the mosaics warm up the ambience with its colour- ed tiny tesserae textures. During the show, the statues became alive and blended with the contemporaneity of the collection, with a Ve- nus print on the dress and Roma’s secret name Amor unveiled. Classic and industrial archae- ology represents the myth of opposites, such as being and becoming, and the ancient and contemporary, suggesting a new synthesis and harmony. The Energy of Beauty sees the woman authen- tically reconnected to the archaic female with pure feminine energy and the primitive power of the Earth. We witnessed sheath dresses in signature cashmere with ruches surrounding the décolleté style with long coats or fur-ef- fect parkas in white, peach and antique pink that mirror the Roman marble colours. Black eco-leather suits and coats made with sustain- able energy joined colourful wave satin dresses inspired by mosaics that are also seen on iconic LB bags. Classic striped and checkered taileurs (tai- lors) and pied-de-poule (houndstooth) coats marked the stage. Peplum dresses in chif- fon with golden flashes and drapery bustiers preceded long goddess-like lace or white stain dresses with geometric patterned stockings that emphasised the contrasts. Amor-red taffe- tas in Biagiotti-white and liquid gold blended with pendant earrings and embellished rings that reproduced the Roman columns and mi- cro mosaics with the LB monogram. Biagiotti Group President and CEO Lavinia Bi- agiotti Cigna spoke about the beauty and ethos of this collection. “Rome is an infinite inspira- tion; its echo resonates with the contemporary visions of the future. This choice confirms our strong bond with the city, where we are com- mitted on many fronts. We are animated by the sense of responsibility towards new genera- tions to construct a long-lasting legacy and ex- traordinary events that create value in the city, acts of patronage, and scholarships.” She further explained, “The combination of art and fashion is a successful idea and is the main character of cultural projects with an original contribution. A distinctive feature of Biagiotti Group and a central aspect of this collection is a strong focus on the female world that tena- ciously promotes the resourcefulness of wom- en in all fields. The energy generated by women must be considered part of a strategy that con- tributes to developing an increasingly equal, inclusive and open society.” In addition to the fashion collections, Laura Biagiotti produces beautiful extensive fra- grances, including Laura, Lovely Laura, Laura Tender, Forever, Forever Gold for Her and For- ever Touche D’Argent for women.
