Grill master chef Dave Pynt born in Perth, Western Australia, has worked under acclaimed chefs, including René Redzepi of Noma, Copen- hagen; Tetsuya Wakuda of Waku Ghin in Singapore; and Fergus Henderson of St. John in London. He discovered a passion for cooking with fire and mastering the flame after working with Victor Arguinzoniz at Etxebarri in 2010. Two years later, Pynt opened the London pop-up Burnt Endz and then Burnt Ends in Singapore’s Chinatown. Earlier this year, the one Michelin star smoke- house, awarded in 2018, moved from Teck Lim Road to Dempsey Hill, a former British army barracks housing unique, upscale stores and restaurants. Pynt commissioned Emma Maxwell, founder and Interior Design Director of her namesake design studio, to revamp the interior. “Emma’s one-liner design pitch to me was ‘Fire, skulls, and AC/DC’, and that pretty much sold me!” said the heavy-metal-loving iconoclastic chef.
