Created for photo en- thusiasts and those aspiring to be one, the Leitz Phone 2 combines uncompromising quality and outstanding optics, iconic aluminium design and innovative photo functions. It harnesses Leica’s optical performance and image software prowess thanks to the 1-inch 47.2 MP CMOS image sensor that works hand-in- hand with the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ SMP8450 processor to activate sensor modes. The lens's focal length of 19 mm offers breathtaking perspectives and plenty of freedom in image composition. With an aperture of 1.9, Leitz Phone 2 achieves images with a high dynamic range and low image noise - even in low ambient light. Its 6x digital zoom and the 8x continuously adjustable digital zoom of the selfie cam- era make the smartphone's range of uses as versatile and flexible as the moments users capture. Furthermore, the Leitz Phone 2’s proprietary software engine brings the typical ‘Leica look’ to smartphone photography. It cre- ates Leitz looks based on the three iconic M lenses. The Summi- lux 28 is for imposing shots taken in the centre of the action, the Summilux 35 for everyday and street art photography, and the Noctilux 50, is ideal for portraits with its high aperture of 1.2, capturing shots with an unmistakable Leica bokeh. Users can then choose to enhance the typical Leica look and feel and select tones from Monochrome for high-contrast black and white, Cinema Classic for a classic, analogue 35mm cinema film look, and Cinema Contemporary. Leica also developed the Gold- en Hour widget exclusively for the Leitz Phone 2 to display the golden hours after sunrise and before sunset when the warm light is perfect for taking spectacular photos. The LFI widget, also designed specifically for the Leitz Phone 2, continuously presents shots from the Leica Fotografie Inter- national gallery - the curated platform for Leica photographers worldwide. The 6.6-inch OLED display made of Gorilla Glass is highly robust and adaptable. Because every pixel adapts to the im- age during playback, it works without backlighting. It reproduces the purest white, deepest black and all the facets in between in- credibly contrasty and brilliant - even in bright daylight.
