The Bite Magazine - Autumn/Winter 2022 - Issue 32

bitemen According to the co-founders, men no longer need to pack a massive suitcase of wardrobe changes when travelling. “With L’Estrange, for a weekend away, for example, you only need one pair of trousers - the 24s - and wherever you are, they’ll work for you. The versatility makes travelling so easy.” They also advise wearing the collarless shirt or the custom tee with a pleat and curved hem. “It’s essential in any look.” The evening shirts are made of half stretch cotton and half of airtex polo shirt-type material. In 2017, L’Estrange opened their design-focused store ‘The L’Es- trange Apartment’ on Berwick Street. They collaborated with several brands that reflect their aesthetic and ethos to create a home-from-home experience and a relaxed space to explore their world and clothes. Three years later, they opened a neigh- bourhood store in Notting Hill, an area designed with Fred Rig- by centring around “bringing our simplified wardrobe closer to you.” This year, L’Estrange opened another store in the Royal Exchange, London. The Re_Work collection is a limited run of garments returned with imperfections or have not passed L’Estrange’s factory qual- ity checks that were repaired and cleaned instead of sending them to the landfill. Pieces in this collection include the Con- cept Cuban Collar in light blue, 24 Overshirt in navy, slate grey or the limited dark khaki, All Day Shirt Linen Collarless in white, Duo Quilt Shell Jacket in navy, Tailored Tee Organic in black, off-white, charcoal or the limited forest green and Polo Shirt in white or navy. Tropical Wool is a two-piece collection of 24 Blazer and 24 Trouser in navy, dyed and woven in Italy with a natural stretch. “Nothing is finished until it’s perfect. Nothing is perfect” - Tom Horne & Will Green
