bitemen Dolce & Gabbana W ith more music, hype, tech, and the merging of leading enterprises into one new virtual shopping and steal- ing-the-scene event, Dolce & Gabbana is all about enjoying the maximum limits of excess. The Italian fashion house is one of the leaders in the new metaverse fashion and tech shift, and this menswear collection plays along with that shift of market focus. Gone are the days of brick-and-mortar stores; enter the age of filtered online, AI identities and what you can strut in via one’s decked-out avatar in acquired limited edition NFTs. As such, this season was full of gripping looks that grabbed the attention of the wearer and onlookers. Bright colours and bedazzled embel- lishments popped off stark black basics as their structural bases. The Dolce & Gabbana team partnered with several exciting artists this sea- son, like Machine Gun Kelly, who performed at the show and modelled three different looks on the runway. Rocco Pezzella also collaborat- ed with the brand and was allowed access to tag his artistic take on this season’s mini-collection within the supersized sweatsuits and pants col- lection. As the line-up of super-gorgeous men walked the screened runway, it struck me how engaged Dolce & Gabbana currently is with leading fash- ion ideas. We are no longer yoked to traditional dressing, wearing what’s expected at a certain age or size, or reined into set limits, but rather, explore the thought there are no limits!
