biteperformance P erformance I t was wonderful to be back at The Place, a dear venue for me from my dance-training journey of the past. It was even more so to be invited to attend such a profound perfor- mance in Far from Home by sisters, co-founders, performers, and winners of the 2019 Bench Wom- en of Colour Commission, Kristina and Sadé Al- leyne of Alleyne Dance. It was co-commissioned by The Place, Dance City Newcastle and Dance East, with support from the Arts Council England National Lottery Projects Grant.
