At the same time, the colour palette was a mixture of coral shades, alabas- ter, lavender, celadon and fuchsia. The first looks started with alabaster white and black and white striped apparel that accentuated the drawn-on collar, pockets and button artistry such as the Trompe L’oeil A-Line Dress, Cardigan and Pleated Trouser or Racer Dress. A blend of colours came into the mix with the Diagonal Fringe Dress, a cap-sleeve sheath dress with a flounced hem in ruby tweed, followed by the chic Fringe A-Line Dress, also in ruby tweed, with a classic silhouette elevated and a fringed trim at the neck, waist and front skirt. Floral patterns evolved into pink brushstrokes found in the tailored satin sheen Trench Coat and Bootleg Trousers set and Blazer with wide-legged trousers that almost swept the floor as it floated down the catwalk. The dynamics changed when glamorous dresses such as the Ruby Printed Brush- stroke Bustier Gown appeared with its airy, swirling lay- ers that would make a delicious red carpet debut. Another hot number was the Confetti Sequin Draped Gown with waist-defining pleats that would be the belle of the ball. The halter-neck bodice of the Floral Taffeta Ballgown did not pique my interest; however, I liked the sweeping lavender ball skirt with pockets that had a silky effect. It was elegantly put together to present a seasoned summer emblem to wear to a prestigious event. The last look was the Taupe Ostrich Feature Racer Column Gown covered in head-to-toe ostrich features with a ruff of feathers at the neck.
